"It is an honor to be given the opportunity to experience a wide swath of inspired Louisiana artists from which to select the next edition of the Ogden Museum's Louisiana Contemporary," said Arning. "Whenever I jury a regionally defined exhibition its always a pleasure to be reminded of what my ‘outsider's eye' reveals. I'm positive I will encounter an abundance of startling, resonant artistic surprises by Louisiana makers."

This annual event promotes contemporary art practices in the state of Louisiana, provides exhibition space for the exposition of living artists’ work, and recognizes the role of New Orleans as a rising, international art center. The 2016 Juror is Bill Arning, Houston based curator.
